We’re all mad about taco recipes! But, let’s be serious, is there a food that’s more versatile, laborious, and downright delicious than tacos? It’s not even a dish. The humble taco is a vessel for delivering delicious things to your mouth. Corn or flour tortillas, stiff or soft, we all love them whether it’s National Taco Day or any other day of the year.
You are certainly familiar with the classic variations of this Mexican export. Seasoned beef or pork tacos, shrimp or fish tacos, and even vegetarian tacos come to mind with the added bonus of “all-dressed” seasoning: spicy cream, salsa , guacamole , pickled jalapeños, and a dash of fresh cheese. But, have you ever had a taco for breakfast or dessert?
Tacos-waffles
Whip up a batch of your favorite waffles, then decide if it’s dinner or dessert. For a hearty meal, top waffles, folded in half, with eggs and bacon, meat and cheese (or even fried chicken!). To finish on a sweet note, try peanut butter or hazelnut spread, topped with berries and whipped cream, or shape your waffle like a delicious banana split with ice cream, chocolate syrup and plenty vermicelli.

This is an awesome hack that will get you your favorite burger flavors in taco form. Use a rolling pin to flatten the separated hamburger buns in half, then add a slice of cheese to the half buns and gently fold them in half. Place them in a toaster until the cheese is melted and the taco does not lose its shape. Garnish with ground beef, minced pickles, chopped lettuce and that famous burger sauce.

Bacon Taco
Someone had the genius idea of making a taco recipes shell out of intertwined strips of bacon. We wish it was us. Try this at home by intertwining slices of bacon then baking them in the oven until crispy. Cut the cooked bacon into circles with kitchen shears and top the woven bacon with scrambled eggs, shredded cheese, sliced avocado and a touch of hot sauce.
Spaghetti and Meatball Taco
Pasta night or taco night tonight? Surprise ! It’s BOTH. But yes ! Meatball spaghetti you can eat with your fingers! With the added bonus of garlic bread. Start by breaking your spaghetti in half before cooking to avoid the sounds of spaghetti being sucked in. Prepare your favorite sauce and meatballs and mix them with the cooked pasta in a large saucepan. Brush tortillas with garlic butter and sprinkle with parsley. Sandwich Parmesan shavings between two tortillas and melt lightly in a hot skillet. Remove and fill with pasta sauce, then top with 2-3 meatballs and parmesan. Attention: you will be asked for a second, maybe even a third.
